Facial TreatmentsWhat type of facial is best suited for my skin type?
Because skin needs change, you might need a different treatment from time to time — even if you have one favourite type of facial. We will take time before your facial to perform a skin analysis and explain why we are recommending a particular treatment.
Skip any at-home facial treatments a week before your session. Other than that, you can leave makeup on and come as you are.

Age is an important factor in skin dehydration, but there are several other factors responsible for dehydrated skin, including environmental conditions (wind, cold, and sun) as well as fatigue and stress. Dehydrated skin has an impaired hydrophilic film that deprives the skin of its natural protection so that it becomes dry and rough. Dehydrated skin lacks suppleness and the complexion can look dull.
Age spots and fine lines are reduced, pores are unclogged, acne is diminished, collagen is stimulated and a more uniform tone is evident. Most clients report that their skin seems softer, tighter, smoother and younger-looking.
You will notice an immediate improvement after your first treatment. Your skin will have a fresh pink glow and smoother texture. Improvements continue throughout your treatment program.
Massage TreatmentWhat are the benefits of massage?
Aside from the advantages of taking time for relaxation, massage actually benefits you in many other ways. Studies have shown the physical and mental results of one session, as well as ongoing programs.
Some of those benefits include relieving stress and headaches, strengthening your immune system, improving circulation and posture, lowering blood pressure, increasing flexibility and range of motion, enhancing rehabilitation, and more.
That depends on what you want to accomplish. Some people view a one-hour massage as enough for relaxation and relief of mild stress or tension areas. A 75 minute session provides maximum therapeutic relief of chronic pain, stress or tension through a full-body massage using various modalities.
A 30 minute Swedish, Deep Tissue or Sports massage on a target area can also be effective in relieving tension or pain.
Think of once a month as your baseline. Times of extra physical or mental stress may call for more frequent sessions. Finding time can seem difficult when life is extremely busy, but it’s an investment that will pay off by helping you maintain your pre-stress levels of health and wellness. If you want the maximum benefit, twice a month is really optimal.
After 12 weeks it is safe to have a seated indian head massage using non-aromatherapy oils.
Hair Removal/WaxingAm I able to wax and tan on the same day?
It is preferable that you wax 24 hours before or after tanning, as hair removal will cause to skin to become more sensitive than usual.
For facial hair removal, hair should be 1/8 inch and body hair should be 1/4 inch, to achieve a smooth clean removal. It is best to trim bikini hair prior to your appointment. During the summer months , it is recommended to re-book every two to three weeks for facial hair removal and three to four weeks for body hair removal. It all depends on your hair growth as cycles vary for everyone.

Exposure to water is most often the culprit here- surprisingly, the more you soak, the drier the nail becomes, weakening over time. Detergents in soaps, household cleansers, and some nail polish removers can also have adverse effects. Prevent further damage by wearing gloves during chores. After hand-washing, apply a rich moisturizer to nails to replace the natural oils that water washes away. Using a polish or a cuticle oil (such as Cuccio) will provide a protective shield.
At Eye Candy we use Bio Sculpture Gel (and polish), Cuccio, IBD Just Gel Polish and Gelish.
Gel Overlays can help strengthen your natural nails, and help promote nail growth. It is important that you do not pick the gel colour off, or attempt to remove them yourself as it may weaken your nails. At Eye Candy gel removal is free of charge when having your gel reapplication. If you have had gel nails previously applied at another salon we will charge £10 for removal.
Spray TanHow long do I leave before putting on makeup after a spray tan?
It takes six to eight hours for your tan to take effect, so once the tan has developed and you have washed the colour off, you can apply your makeup.
If you are booked for a Spray Tan it’s advisable to wear dark-coloured, loose clothing and bring flip-flops.
It is advisable to wax or shave and exfoliate 24 hours prior to your tanning application. It is also recommended that you remove deodorant and makeup.
We use Sienna X, the leading providers of professional spray tan and at home tanning solutions.
Eyelash ExtensionsWhat are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash Extensions are semi-permanent and are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. They are applied to individual eyelashes, one extension at a time, for a natural, elegant look to lengthen and add fullness to the existing lashes.
Eyelash Extensions are crafted from synthetic polyester, synthetic silk and synthetic mink.
Eyelash Extensions look and feel completely real. Each application is customised to suit the individual. They are available in various thicknesses of lashes and 5 different curls with lengths ranging from 8mm to 15mm. Lash lengths are chosen to carefully replicate the shape and frame of a natural lash line. The thickness of the extension applied is determined by the health and thickness of your natural lashes as well as personal preference.
They can be maintained indefinitely with refills. Due to an average lash growth cycle of 60 days, top-ups are needed every approximately 2-4 weeks to maintain your desired look.
Eyelash extensions are applied to existing natural lashes therefore you must have some natural lashes to receive the procedure. Lash extensions cannot be applied to clients who have alopecia, are undergoing chemotherapy or those who suffer from Trichotillomania, unless and until the individual has received effective treatment and normal lash growth has resumed.
Not at all! Our eyelash extensions are applied on your own natural eyelashes one by one (without touching the skin) with an specially designed bonding agent developed exclusively for eyelash extensions. This new technique is not harmful to your natural eyelashes. The adhesive dries very soft on lashes allowing flexibility and comfort.
Yes, even though mascara is not really required since the extensions actually give the illusion of wearing mascara it can be worn. It must however only be a water-based mascara, and we recommend the Lash FX mascara specially formulated for use with lash extensions, and which can be purchased in the salon.
Do not get lashes wet for 12 hours after application
Avoid hot steam or sauna
- Avoid running water directly on your lashes
- Do not rub your eyes
- If applying mascara do so from middle to tip, avoid root area

The application process for a full set of lash extensions normally takes 1hr15-1hr30mins.
A half set takes between 45min – 1 hour.
Top-up appointments (2-3 weeks after initial application) take 30-40mins.
Corner flicks take 30 mins.
You will lie comfortably on a treatment bed with your eyes closed. Your lower lashes will be covered with micropore tape. The extensions will then be applied to each individual eyelash with a specially designed bonding agent. The treatment is relaxing and comfortable.
Yes, at any time for any reason! It is a simple procedure that doesn’t take long and we have a specially formulated removal solution that will break down the glue and safely remove your extensions without damaging your natural lash. Please do not attempt to remove the lash extensions yourself as this will cause premature pulling out of your natural lashes.
If you would like to try lash extensions but are unsure what type of lashes to go for, contact us to arrange a free consultation to discuss your options, and we can advise you whilst at the same time doing a glue patch test.
We recommend starting with a half set of faux mink lashes, which vary in length and thickness and are adapted to your requirements.
